The need for the Trusted Advisors in the northeast US is booming and the need for AVANT’s channel sales enablement and support in the region has never been greater. Our growth continues in this area as we welcome Cheryl Hacker as our newest Partner Manager for NYC/CT/RI. Cheryl will be working with northeast partners, enabling their business by providing them with industry-leading people, processes, and tools. She will recruit, enable, and grow partners that are ready to completely transform their business by leveraging AVANT’s sales training, our ecosystem of disruptive technologies, and the best customer-facing tools in the industry.
Cheryl’s career has been devoted to either direct selling IT services or supporting direct selling partners. She started her career with Meridian IT (formerly MAC Source), in upstate NY. After spending some time in Managed Services sales, she transitioned to Avaya, where she worked for five years as a Territory Account Manager for New England. She was the first person at Avaya to move to a cloud-only role—a position that gave her in-depth knowledge of the UCaaS/CCaaS services she now supports with AVANT.
As explained by Shane McNamera, EVP, “Cheryl’s energy and UCaaS/CCaaS prowess made the decision for me. Cheryl will be focused on finding partners that want to 10x their business. With the UCaaS/CCaaS market so white hot, I wanted to find someone with this background so that we can continue to dominate the market and enable partners to sell this technology.”
We asked Cheryl to tell us a bit more about herself, and this is what we learned: “In my spare time I love to cook, pretty much anything, but I absolutely adore making my mom’s Filipino dishes. I also enjoy hot Vinyasa yoga as often as possible. I live in CT with my husband, Ross, and our cat Skye. Recently we caught a travel bug and are working diligently to get our passports stamped in as many countries as possible before we have kids and enter that chapter of life.”
